Women's history month campaign
All over India (March, 2023)
For Women's History Month, we celebrated by raising awareness about the same. We did three online campaigns this month:
-
Womens Day IGTV video in collaboration with the Interact Club of DPS Noida: We prepared a video to bring to light what feminism truly means. It is too often something mistaken for “hating men” or believing in female superiority but that is in fact not the case. Through our #bridgethegap campaign, we discussed this issue and showcased support for the same with the help of our volunteers.
-
Appreciating all the young women in our team: We also shared a volunteer appreciation post for all the talented and inspiring young women who are a part of our team and have worked tirelessly for our cause.
-
Flowers to strangers: To spread love and positive vibes, we finished off women's History Month by giving flowers to strangers. It was a wholesome experience and we definitely enjoyed it!

Confidence building workshop
Jaipur (16th April, 2023)
In Vismukh Sansthan, Jaipur, we held a workshop on public speaking and confidence-building. We selected this subject because we see it as a necessary initial step on the path to success. Because this was the Jaipur Team's inaugural event, we made every effort to make it special. We are all aware that confidence and a game of words govern life. And I firmly feel that the best subject for our first workshop is public speaking and confidence-building.
We visited the organization and spoke with those there. We talked to them about the value of having good public speaking abilities, and let me tell you, it was just so serene. They participated in a variety of exercises, and I believe they learned something from the session.
Noida Donation Drive
Noida (18th April, 2023)
One of our major donors decided to celebrate their birthday with kids at Mala Smriti Home. Recently, We organized a donation drive in collaboration with Vorfreude Organisation in Noida. It was organized to help underprivileged children continue their education. The drive was a huge success and our volunteers loved seeing the smiles on children’s faces.
The initiative aimed to bridge the gap in educational opportunities between privileged and underprivileged children, ensuring that everyone has equal access to education. The initiative not only helped provide much-needed supplies to children but also raised awareness about the challenges faced by underprivileged children in accessing education.
Overall, the Noida donation drive for stationery supplies held by the NGO was a great success and a shining example of how small initiatives can make a big difference in the lives of those in need.
Manifesting Workshop
Mumbai (23rd April, 2023)
Vorfreude's Mumbai team recently collaborated with Antigone and conducted an event that encouraged sharing among people and further fostered leadership qualities in children and teenagers.
The Daya Vihar Ashram(Malad west) was the place where these activities were held. Children of age group 5 to 18 were gathered. Firstly we conducted a survey or an activity which promoted positive affirmations and inculcated sharing as a habit. Next we played some games making the kids as the team captains.
The team was very proud to see the results and we can say that the event was a success.
Gender Roles Workshop
Gurugram (26th April, 2023)
We started by playing word association games to understand the kids' thinking on stereotypes and gender roles. It was amazing to see the creativity and insights they brought to the table! We also conducted activities like bursting myths and discussing the slogan that both girls and boys are equal.
We shared practical habits and practices that promote gender equality, like helping your mom in the kitchen and expressing yourself through your choices. The workshop helped the kids develop empathy for each other and mindfulness for their actions.
The kids were so eager to learn and break free from societal norms, making it a fulfilling and insightful experience for everyone involved. Let's keep working towards a more equal society where gender doesn't limit anyone's potential!
Menstrual Hygiene Workshop
Gurugram (22nd May, 2023)

Confidence Building Workshop
Hyderabad (2nd June, 2023)
Last week marked the official launch of our branch of Project Antigone in Hyderabad, and we celebrated this milestone by hosting our very first event. The focus of the event was on instilling confidence and promoting courageous speaking among the participants. We initiated the proceedings by introducing ourselves, followed by inviting each attendee to share a brief introduction and talk about their likes and interests.

The event concluded on a high note, as we delivered an inspiring session on the significance of courage in public speaking. Witnessing the children's growth in confidence throughout the event filled us with immense joy and satisfaction. The connection we forged with the participants was truly remarkable.
Dance Workshop
Hyderabad ( 24th June, 2023)
Our recent accomplishment marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts of Project Antigone in Hyderabad. With great enthusiasm, we organized a highly engaging dance workshop at Cheers Foundation, Hyderabad. To ensure a memorable experience, we dedicated time beforehand to learn specific dance steps that would perfectly complement the selected songs. Eager to establish a connection with the students, we introduced ourselves and initiated conversations with them. Inquisitive about their musical preferences, we inquired about their favourite songs, and to our delight, they shared a few beloved Telugu folk songs. In the spirit of inclusivity and shared joy, we immediately immersed ourselves in the rhythms and melodies of their chosen songs, dancing alongside the children. The energy in the room was electrifying as we celebrated together, fostering a sense of unity and happiness. The genuine smiles on the faces of the young hearts were a testament to the profound impact of music and dance on their spirits. Moving forward, we proceeded to teach them the prepared dance routines. The success of the dance workshop was not solely measured by its flawless execution but by the radiant happiness we witnessed in the children and the genuine connections we forged with them. The experience was incredibly fulfilling, and we were overjoyed to have successfully executed the second event in Hyderabad.
Art & Bake Sale
Noida (1st July, 2023)
Just recently our team organized a fundraising event in Khan Market. It was an art and bake sale to help raise funds for pad distribution in slum areas of Noida.
The event was a great success, to say the least! We managed to raise nearly 14,000 through just one event and clearly had a lot of fun.
This is all thanks to our enthusiastic volunteers who were kind enough to donate some of their artwork and bring some baked items from their side to raise funds.
We truly appreciate the hard work and commitment put in by the team, because that’s what made this event a successful one.
Leading up to the day of the event, our team was buzzing with excitement because this is one of the first large-scale fundraising events we have organized. It really meant a lot to have the support and guidance of our management team and senior volunteers!
Rakhi Workshop
Mumbai (29th July, 2023)
We conducted an early rakhi-making workshop at Desire Society Mumbai. The kids had the absolute freedom to do whatever design they liked for the rakhi, and our volunteers helped them achieve it. Our team got to spend quality time with the kids and enjoy the rakhi-making process with them, we interacted with them on common topics like Bollywood, K-pop, Dance, etc. We were so glad we got this opportunity to spend time with them, enjoy our time there, and also get attached to the kids in such a short span of time. We look forward to doing many such events there in the future.
Good touch & Bad touch
Jaipur (16th July, 2023)
In Jaipur, a "Good Touch, Bad Touch" event was organized by Antigone to educate children about personal safety and boundaries. The event aimed to empower them with the knowledge to distinguish inappropriate behavior, assertively say "no" when uncomfortable, and seek help from trusted adults. Through interactive activities and open discussions, the children gained self-confidence and essential skills to protect themselves, contributing to a safer community in Jaipur.
